I visited a factory farm in Rhineland Germany (non-graphic)

I live within biking distance of some factory farms for cows, pigs, and chickens. I visit them, even though they are horrifying places. Why? Because I want to know. I don’t want to stay blind and complacent.

The cow factory farms usually have 1 door open, while the factory farms for pigs and chickens are completely closed off. But you know they’re in there because you can hear them, and smell the pungent intensity of the feces from hundreds to thousands of animals confined to one small space.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to live inside. I can barely breathe standing on the outside.

All of this to satisfy our tastebuds. It’s not right on any level.

We live in a system that deems this acceptable. We’ve been indoctrinated since we were born.

But now it’s time to WAKE UP, and STOP this insanity.

The good news is, you don’t need to support this anymore. You can choose to participate or not at every meal. By adopting a plant-based diet, you are contributing to the solution. And it’s not as hard as you think. Ask me for help if you need to.
