Today marks 1 week since I launched the Jiskca Project, which is using my life to showcase veganism to my friends.
I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out!
So far, this site and my YouTube channel have grown much faster than any of my blogs. Despite me being really clumsy and not at all professional with video making.
YouTube is such an incredible platform to connect with others. It is THE best medium for spreading veganism too. I could write blog entries about vegan topics, which is more comfortable for me to do. But will anyone read them?
That’s why I’m forcing myself to go on YouTube. Because if I’m really serious about being more active, I need to be in the right places. Even if it’s awkward, embarrassing, whatever.
And it is all of those things. But this is not about me. I’m just using my life to bring forth a message.
The message doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to be said. That’s what you’ll find in my videos and on this blog.
I ask you to keep an opened mind, and to take accountability for your actions. It’s not always comfortable to accept that good people (you) do bad things. But we must push ourselves out of our comfort zones in order to grow and ensure a better world. It’s not a lofty goal, it is very much in reach and you have all the agency in the world to make it happen. Trust me.
Remember that you can partake in the fastest growing social justice movement with EVERY meal. It’s just a matter of time when veganism will take over. So may as well be on the right side of history sooner!
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement!
